Bromsgrove And Its Poets
On Monday, July 26th, a short film about Bromsgrove and its Poets was premiered at the Methodist Centre in Bromsgrove. It featured four Bromsgrove poets - A.E.Housman, Geoffrey Hill, Molly Holden and Sally Purcell.
The film was made by Maz Salmou, a former Syrian TV front line reporter, who has been living and working in Bromsgrove now for three years. Maz has a degree in Fine Arts and a journalism certificate from London College of Communications.

The film was made with the support of BRWR, WORDS, The Bromsgrove Arts Alive Charitable Trust, The Bromsgrove Society, The Housman Society and Bromsgrove District Council.
Maz plans a follow up, featuring Bromsgrove's Contemporary Poets, to be made in the autumn. Jo Freeman of Severn Arts and the Worcestershire Young Poet Laureate, Faith Taylor, who lives in Bromsgrove, will be planning this.
